Information we collect

When you contact NoRewrite, we may collect the information you deliberately provide, such as your name, email address, company, telephone number, application context and the contents of your message. Live chat can be started without providing a name or email address; an email address may be added voluntarily for follow-up.

We may also record basic enquiry attribution information such as the first landing path, referrer, UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers so we can understand which marketing activity produced a genuine business enquiry.

• To assess whether NoRewrite is a suitable supplier for the requested work
• To prepare, manage and keep records of a prospective or active business relationship
• To protect the website and investigate abuse or delivery problems
• To measure marketing effectiveness where optional measurement has been consented to

Legal basis

Depending on the context, business enquiry data may be processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, or because NoRewrite has a legitimate interest in responding to and keeping an appropriate record of genuine business enquiries. Optional analytics or advertising storage is used only after consent where the site requests that consent.

Retention

Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the business conversation, legal obligations, dispute handling and legitimate business records. Normally this is 12 months, but can be up to 24.

Processors and service providers

NoRewrite may use service providers for hosting, email delivery, meeting scheduling, live-chat delivery, website measurement and other business infrastructure. Those providers process only the information required to provide their service.

Website live-chat messages are stored by NoRewrite and are relayed through Telegram so the technical operator can receive and answer them. Telegram therefore processes the message content and related delivery metadata as part of providing that communication channel.

Current infrastructure may include Hetzner, Postmark/email provider, meeting scheduling provider, Telegram and Google.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the country where you are located. Where applicable, appropriate contractual or legal transfer mechanisms should be used.

Optional Google measurement

If Google measurement is configured, optional analytics and advertising storage remains denied until consent is granted through the site’s consent control. You can revisit the choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.

Security and secrets

Do not submit passwords, private keys, API secrets or production credentials through the public enquiry form or live chat. If an engagement requires sensitive access, an appropriate channel and access method will be agreed separately.
